What’s Poverty? What’s happening in Japan?


Poverty is when someone lacks a certain amount of material
possessions or money, which is a big social issue in the world. The
standard to judge whether a certain person is in a state of the poverty
is an absolute one or a relative one. The Japanese economic scale is the
third place in the world, but now "the relative poverty ratio" which is
an index indicating the ratio of the low-income person in Japan is high
to the fourth in the OECD countries because of the expansion of the
income gap and the working poor. And the poverty ratios of the young has
been increasing recently
